When SBC partnered with Yahoo! to offer DSL service to consumers, they turned to D2 Sales to create a way for consumers to experience the benefits of the service first hand. To answer the call, D2 created unique internet stations housed in recycled phone
booths. Instead of pay phones, the booths feature interactive internet stations which allow consumers to experience new customer-driven features - and give the SBC/Yahoo! DSL product a "test drive". After experiencing the enhanced speed and benefits
DSL features over dial up, customers can sign up for home service right at the kiosk, or email sign up information to themselves at home to follow up later. The project has been tremendously successful, and more units are currently in production.
Banks of the SBC/Yahoo! DSL Internet kiosks are currently located in Chicago at the Marshall Field's flagship store and in Dallas at the American Airlines Center arena. |
